The WECare Story so far...
Last year, we welcomed back to school an ‘Old Barnardian’ who is the very embodiment of our school ethos. You may have seen Janey Lowes in Ben Fogles’ documentary ‘New Lives in the Wild’ on Channel 5.
She started her charity, We Care Worldwide, after seeing first-hand the plight of stray animals while on a holiday in Sri Lanka. She works entirely with volunteers from back home and internationally, aiming to train and educate the local population as well as operating a ‘catch, neuter and release’ campaign.
The documentary leaves no doubt as to what a dedicated and inspirational young woman she is; we were so inspired in fact, that the school has made We Care our dedicated Charity this term and as such, we are aiming to raise funds through a Silent Postcard Auction.
